Testimonial 1
We were doing a series for SLICE Network here in Canada and within that series there were security camera’s. We all know the quality of those are sketchy at best. But ours needed to go into a HD 1080i show. The footage was originated on a security hard drive then selects were made. From there we took the footage thru a AJA composite to SDI converter, then thru the Mini Teranex to a HD tape. No one except the editor, the edit assistants and myself knew the path for getting the footage into the HD project. It was great having the different up conversion choices as the security footage left a time stamp on the video which we didn’t want.

We have a re-occurring client who decided at the last minute to have a series of spots go HD. For the body of the spot no problem,(shot in 1080p 23.98) but the end of the spot consisted of 2 stage graphics, one graphic over a letterboxed shot(SD), then the second graphic transitioning over the first to form a full frame tag & logo.(SD) Of course there was no budget to redo the graphics in HD. So just to give the producer an idea of what his stuff would look like in HD(at 1080i 59.94) I hooked the SDI out of our Adrenaline, thru the Mini Teranex, out to our Sony LMD monitor. The producer was very happy with what he saw…the kicker (not that I condone this) the 1st shot with graphics was transferred letterbox and he still bought into it. So for this go around, the Mini has really helped us with a sticky situation.
